For over two years, Vertis Therapy has provided physical, occupational, and speech therapy for patients at Dukes Memorial Hospital. - Vertis Therapy is a top-notch company. I appreciate that they work as a team with the nursing department in each facility. Training is very good, very detailed and the team effort is always a priority. My personal favorite mentor in the therapy world is Linda Riccio. What separates Vertis Therapy is increased therapy involvement – the awareness of the benefits of therapy working together with nursing has been so beneficial. Having therapy involved in all of the day-to-day activities and not being exclusive. Broadening and being more creative in OT & PT treatment plans has also been very beneficial. Vertis Therapy has greatly improved overall care by getting involved with the facility on the day-to-day care of elders. They have added another aspect of care – increased knowledge of the frontline staff. These benefits have improved nursing and quality of care by four-fold at these facilities.
